The Apiary The didactic apiary was born in 1999 of the collaboration between two Regional Authorities operating on the territory for the agricultural development (ARSIAL) and the environmental protection (Natural Reserve of Lake Vico). In concordance with the general intentions, the apiary allows the two Authorities to pursue the following ends: - promotion and development of apicolture in the territory as an eco-compatible productive activity, by means of demonstration days, seminars and technical meetings for apiculturists; - environmental education, especially for schools, with guided visits to present the world of bees, their products and their precious contribution to agriculture and environment. The apiary consists of three areas: - the didactic area, with two rows of desks arranged in the shape of a horseshoe and some explicative boards; - the beehives area, properly separated from the didactic area, with rooms and hives for the direct observation of bees; - the botanical garden with melliferous plants.         Dove si trova L'apiario dimostrativo si trova lungo la S.P.
