What is it?

The Natural Reserve of Lake Vico was established with the regional law #47, dated 28th of September 1982.
With an extension of approx. 3.240 hectares, it comprises environments of great naturalistic interest, such as the marsh bordering on the lake and the very interesting low-lying beechwood of Mount Venere.

The Natural Reserve of Lake Vico belongs to the wider system of Parks and Natural Reserves of the Lazio region, which was created in order to safeguard natural equilibriums and environments of great importance, improve the quality of life and manage, and in a correct, functional and lasting way, the natural resources they contain, all in the interest of the regional community.
